Scouting Providence (5-8, 3-5 BIG EAST)
Similar to Creighton, the calendar year of 2021 has been far from kind to Providence. The Friars have seen nine of their games since Jan. 1 postponed, while going 1-3 in the four games played.
Since falling to Connecticut on Jan. 9 (87-50), Providence has hit the court once. That was a 67-53 loss to Villanova on Feb. 3.
In Wednesday's battle with Creighton, contract tracing will limit Providence to just seven bodies on the bench. The good news for the Friars is they will have each of top four scorers, led by Mary Baskerville's 13.1 ppg.
In conference play the Friars are led by Kyra Spiwak (13.8 ppg) and Alyssa Geary (11.9 ppg).
Scouting Creighton (4-7, 3-4 BIG EAST)
Coming off a 27-day hiatus, the Bluejays played two games in three days. However another layoff has kept the Bluejays in practice since Feb. 1.
The long layoffs have brought some positive news, as sophomore Carly Bachelor is expected to return to the floor on Wednesday. Bachelor has been
sidelined since Dec. 17 with a broken bone in her shooting hand.
Playing short handed versus Georgetown and Marquette, the Bluejays saw junior Payton Brotzki emerge with a career-high 18 points against the Hoyas. In addition, freshman Molly Mogensen stepped forward with a 13-point effort against Marquette.

Keys To the Game
- Tempo/Fatigue: Creighton will have at least 12 available bodies to play, while Providence is bringing just seven players to Omaha. As a result expect the Bluejays to push the ball, while the Friars will try to slow the game.
- Size in the Paint: Providence's tandem of Baskerville (Jr./6-3) and Geary (Jr./6-4) offer the Friars a strong experience and size advantage on the Bluejays' front court of Mykel Parham (So./6-2) and Emma Ronsiek (Fr./6-1).
- Three-Point Shooting: Combating the interior advantage of Providence, Creighton has the edge at the arc. Creighton's averaging 8.7 made three-pointers per game, while Providence knocks down 5.7 per contest.
