KeyShawn Feazell Transfers Into Men's Basketball Program

OMAHA, Neb. -- KeyShawn Feazell, a 6-foot-8 forward from McNeese, has transferred into the Creighton men's basketball program. Feazell averaged 13.1 points and led the Southland Conference with 9.9 rebounds per game last season.

Feazell (FEE-zell) has one season of eligibility remaining.

"We are excited to add KeyShawn to our program," said Creighton head coach Greg McDermott. "His toughness, leadership and versatility was exactly what we were looking for. His skill level combined with the fact that he is a relentless rebounder, will make for a seamless transition into our system. We can't wait to get him on campus!"

Feazell topped the Cowboys by averaging 13.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in 21 contests (20 starts) last season for McNeese. His eight double-doubles and 7.10 defensive rebounds per game both topped the Southland Conference, and he was also second in the league in field goal percentage (.461) and offensive rebounds per game (2.76). Feazell was also among the league leaders with 1.19 blocks per game (3^rd), 76.4 percent marksmanship in free throw percentage (6^th) and 13.1 points per game (14^th). He graduated from McNeese in May with a degree in business administration.

The New Hebron, Miss., native spent his first three seasons at Mississippi State, where he scored 84 points and grabbed 100 rebounds in 74 contests as a reserve.

Creighton finished 22-9 overall and led the BIG EAST with 14 league victories last season, advancing to the program's first Sweet 16 since 1974. Feazell joins as Northwest Missouri State grad transfer Ryan Hawkins as well as a top-10 recruiting class of incoming freshmen John Christofilis, Arthur Kaluma, Mason Miller and Ryan Nembhard.
