Bluejays Bring on Chris Esposito (UNO), Tommy Lamb (Oklahoma) & Brant Voth (John A. Logan/Indiana)
Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball head coach Ed Servais announced the signing of three additions for the 2022 season, inking Chris Esposito (Nebraska-Omaha), Tommy Lamb (Oklahoma) and Brant Voth (John A. Logan/Indiana).
Esposito will join Creighton as a graduate transfer from Nebraska-Omaha. The outfielder started 43 games for the Mavericks in 2021, closing the season hitting .301 (49-for-163) with eight home runs and 37 RBI. The Kansas native started his collegiate career at Johnson County CC, hitting .382 during 2019.
Â
Lamb comes to the Bluejays as a sophomore, spending the 2021 season with the Sooners. The southpaw was rated as the No. 5 player in Wisconsin and No. 388 in the nation by Prep Baseball Report in 2019.  He earned Metro All-District First Team honors in 2019 from the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA) and was All-State Honorable Mention by the WBCA. Lamb closed his high school career with a 17-4 record with a 2.50 ERA and 235 strikeouts in 147.1 innings pitched. This summer he has a 3.73 ERA for the Lakeshore Chinooks over seven starts (31.1 IP).
Voth is a switch hitter that will catch and move around the infield for the Bluejays. Entering 2022 as a sophomore, Voth originally signed with Indiana and spent the 2021 season at John A. Logan College (Illinois). Voth hit .321 (17-for-53) in 18 games last season with the Vols.
"Each of these three guys are all going to be very impactful for our team next year," noted Servais. "Esposito is a very athletic player that we've gotten to see up close, who can hit in the middle of the lineup. Lamb has a chance to be a rotational piece, while Voth is a very good offensive player that will see time both behind the plate an in the infield."
