OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Volleyball improved one spot to a season-best 11th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll released on Monday. It's the best ranking for CU since being 10th on Nov. 25, 2019.

The new poll marks the first time in program history that the squad has improved its poll position in five consecutive weeks, as CU has gone from 21st (Oct. 10) to 18th (Oct. 17), 15th (Oct. 24), 13th (Oct. 31) and 12th (Nov. 7) prior to today's release.

Creighton swept St. John's and Seton Hall over the weekend to up its record to 24-3 overall, tying the best 27-match start in program history. Now 16-0 in BIG EAST play, the Bluejay RPI improved two spots to 13th in the official NCAA RPI.

Creighton's BIG EAST rival, Marquette (24-2, 15-1 BIG EAST) moved up a spot to No. 16 in the poll.

The Bluejays have now been ranked each of the last 27 polls and 104 times in program history. That figure ranks tied for 43rd-most in history. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017. Creighton is 169-38 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll. This is the 11th straight season that Creighton has spent at least one week in the top-25, another program record.

Creighton closes the regular-season next weekend on the road when it visits DePaul (Friday, 7 p.m.) and No. 16 Marquette (Saturday, 6 p.m.) in search of its ninth straight BIG EAST regular-season title.
