Grimaldi and Santana Earn Spot On BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

Boyds, Md. – Creighton midfielder Abigail Santana and defender Gabby Grimaldi were selected to represent the Bluejays on the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team on Sunday, November 6.
Creighton reached the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament for the second time in the last three seasons. Despite an impressive effort the Bluejays fell to top seeded Georgetown, 1-0.
In two tournament matches, Santana paced the Bluejays with four total shots while playing 198 minutes on the pitch. Grimaldi was a key contributor in Creighton's shootout win over Butler in the first round, delivering a cross into the box where Juelle Love headed in a goal to give Creighton a 1-0 lead. Overall, Grimaldi played all 200 minutes on the backline for the Bluejays.
