OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton women's soccer head coach Ross Paule announced the Bluejays 2022 schedule, featuring 10 matches inside Morrison Stadium and seven matches against teams that reached the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Five of those contests come against the Bluejays conference foes in the BIG EAST.
Creighton's exhibition season begins on Saturday, August 13 as the Bluejays travel to South Dakota to face the Coyotes at 1:00 p.m. in the only tune-up game of the 2022 preseason.
The regular season begins with a pair of road matches in Montana as the Bluejays open the season against Montana (August 18). Two days later, Creighton battles Gonzaga (August 21) in a neutral site match at South Campus Stadium in Missoula, Montana.
The Bluejays return to the friendly confines of Morrison Stadium for the next five matches. The home opener comes on Aug. 25 against Kansas City. The Bluejays then play host to Iowa State on Aug. 28 before matching up against North Dakota (Sept. 1) and Tulsa (Sept. 4).
Creighton wraps up its five-game home stand with its annual Socctoberfest match against Colorado College on Sept. 9, before traveling north to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule at South Dakota State (Sept. 11).
BIG EAST conference play begins at home against UConn (Sept. 22), before the Bluejays hit the road, traveling to the nation's capital to battle the defending BIG EAST Champions Georgetown on Sept. 25. Creighton remains on the road heading to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to face Marquette (Sept. 29). After returning to Omaha, Creighton faces Providence on Oct. 2, then returns to the east coast for a match against St. John's (Oct. 6).
The second half of the conference season starts inside Morrison Stadium as the Bluejays host Villanova on Oct. 9. Creighton hits the road once more for a match at Seton Hall (Oct.13), followed by a match at home with DePaul on Oct. 20. The Bluejays hit the road for the final time, traveling to Xavier on Oct. 23. The regular season closes with senior day against Butler on October 27 in Morrison Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
The 2022 BIG EAST Women's Soccer Championship presented by Jeep is scheduled to starts on Sunday, October 30th with first round matchups, continues with semifinals on Thursday, November 3rd, and conclude with the title match on Sunday, November 6th.
