OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Athletics celebrated its top individual and team accomplishments from the past year on Monday night with the return of The Billy's. It was the fourth edition of The Billy's, which were held in person for the first time since 2019 after the 2020 event was held virtually due to COVID-19. The event was not held last spring.
The event featured 30 awards, including 14 True Blue Awards that helped recognize one student-athlete from each squad who embodied the values of resiliency, high character, selflessness, humility, discipline, dedication, determination, reliability, culture and a team-first attitude.
The award ceremony was hosted by Paul Kruse, Rachael Saunders, Callum Watson and Jaela Zimmerman as emcees, with Ana Bellinghausen conducting interviews on the "blue" carpet leading up to the event. All four emcees are current student-athletes at Creighton.
