Former Duchesne Academy captain has coached with Premier the last four years
OMAHA, Neb. -- Elise Fulcher has been named a volunteer coach with the Creighton Volleyball program.
Fulcher has spent the past four years coaching with Premier Volleyball, leading each of her teams to the USAV Junior National Championships. Earlier this month Fulcher helped coach Premier's 16 Gold team to a third-place finish in the Open Division at USAV Nationals. She had previously led that same team to third place showings at the 2022 Mizuno Northern Lights Qualifier and the ASICS Show Me National Qualifier earlier in the year.
Fulcher also worked with Premier Performance, providing position-specific training for Premier and non-Premier athletes.
Elise graduated from Duchesne Academy where she was a varsity starter and served as team captain her senior year (2013). She was awarded All-Area Honorable Mention and All-Nebraska Class B Honorable Mention with the Cardinals. She continued her playing career at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., where she played for three years and served as a student assistant coach her senior year. She still holds the program record for most blocks in a match.
"I've been fortunate to know Elise for years," said Creighton head coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth. "She's an amazing person and a great trainer. I think perhaps her best attribute is the way that she makes kids feel confident and positive. We're excited to have her join our staff and impact our program."
Creighton has three former Premier products on its 2022 roster: Megan Skovsende, Norah Sis and Skylar McCune.
Creighton is coming off a 31-4 season that saw the Bluejays win the BIG EAST for the eighth straight season, which led to a 10th straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
