Volleyball Jumps to 15th in AVCA Poll; 17th in RPI

Creighton (15-4, 6-2 BIG EAST) posted 3-0 victories over both Georgetown and Villanova over the weekend, hitting a collective .405 in the victories.
The Bluejays are one of 15 schools (along with Baylor, BYU, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 39 polls. Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 108 weeks the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 116 times in program history, which is tied with LSU for 39th-most among all programs all-time. Creighton is 187-44 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll.
CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017. This is the 12th straight season that Creighton has spent at least one week in the top-25, extending another program record.
The top five of the poll features Wisconsin, Nebraska, Stanford, Washington State and Louisville. Among the schools also receiving votes is BIG EAST co-leader Marquette.
Creighton will play its next four matches on the road, starting with Friday's 5 p.m. Central match at Connecticut.
