Iowa City, Iowa -- Creighton rowing posted victories in all four races the Bluejays competed in at the Iowa Chase on Sunday, October 22nd.
Two Bluejay boats competed in the Collegiate Open 4+ race with Creighton's top team finishing in 13:15.7. Two other Creighton boats battled in the Novice Open 4+ race, the boat led by Gabby Ladehoff earned the victory with a time of 16:35.3.
The Collegiate Open 8+ race saw the Bluejay top boat deliver a time of 12:12.7 to best squads from Drake and Northwestern. The final victory came in the Novice 8+ contest as the Bluejays claimed victory in a time of 14:25.4
Creighton's winning time in the V8+ and V4+ were not only good enough to place first in the event, each also surpassed one of the times posted in the men's race.
"It was a perfect day for racing on a 3,400 meter course," noted head coach Dan Chipps. "We accomplished everything we wanted to and are very excited to get back on the water later this fall against Drake."
The Bluejays return to the water on Saturday, November 4th in a road regatta against Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
