Probo Earns Co-Midfielder of the Year to Highlight BIG EAST Year End Awards

Four Bluejays Claim Honors, including First Team Selections for Jackson and Probo
New York, N.Y. -- Four Bluejays earned postseason honors, highlighted by Giorgio Probo being named the Co-Midfielder of the Year on Tuesday, November 7th as the annual BIG EAST Awards were announced.
Joining Probo on the All-BIG EAST First Team was Jackson Castro, while Alfie Pope and Mark O'Neill claimed Second and Third Team spots respectively.
Giorgio led Creighton with eight assists this season, finishing second in the BIG EAST. Over his two seasons with the Bluejays Probo has dished out 22 assists and scored five goals for 32 combined points. The native of Italy started 15 matches for Creighton this season, seeing time in 16 contests. He logged a combined 1,332 minutes on the pitch, firing off 17 shots including six on frame.
Following an All-BIG EAST Third Team selection last season, Castro was rewarded with First Team honors in 2023. The Texas native finished third in scoring for Creighton with two goals and six assists for a combined 10 points. Jackson closed the season tied for sixth in the BIG EAST in assists, starting all 17 matches and played a team-high 1,456 minutes for the Bluejays.
The Bluejays leading scorer, Alfie Pope, earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors with seven goals this season. Pope logged a combined 1,440 minutes in 17 matches, starting each contest. Pope notched the game-winning goal in three of Creighton's four victories.
Creighton defender Mark O'Neill collected All-BIG EAST Third Team with two assists and 1,370 minutes on the pitch. O'Neill started all 16 matches he appeared in, taking 12 shots (including five on goal).
