Kendra Wait Named to Pittsburgh Regional All-Tournament Team

Junior setter led CU with 44 assists and 16 digs in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Creighton Volleyball's Kendra Wait was named to the All-Tournament Team at the recently-completed Pittsburgh Regional on Sunday night.
A junior setter, Wait led Creighton with 44 assists and 16 digs in CU's five-set match against No. 7 Louisville on Thursday. She added three blocks and also hit .444 with four kills in nine swings.
Wait is CU's first player named to the All-Regional Team in NCAA Tournament play since both Marysa Wilkinson and Jaali Winters were recognized for their performances at the Austin Regional in 2016.
The recognition for the Gardner, Kan., product is Wait's fourth All-Tournament Team selection this fall, and 11th in her career.
Wait finished the 2023 campaign averaging 10.36 assists, 3.41 digs, 1.14 kills and 0.78 blocks per set while hitting .366 to help Creighton finish 29-5 overall and win a 10th consecutive BIG EAST regular-season title. Wait earned BIG EAST Player of the Year and BIG EAST Setter of the Year accolades, in addition to her third All-BIG EAST recognition in as many seasons.
