Grace and Helligso Claim All-BIG EAST Honors

Mason, Ohio -- Creighton's Jack Grace and Hogan Helligso were rewarded for their hard work during the 2023 season as the Bluejay duo each collected All-BIG EAST Second Team honors as the postseason all-conference honors were announced on Tuesday, May 23.
Grace led Creighton with 11 home runs and 31 RBI during the 2023 season, also finishing fourth on the team with a .295 batting average. Jack appeared in 47 games for the Bluejays, earning the start in 45 contests. The Illinois native delivered 46 hits, 23 runs scored and a .519 slugging percentage.
Helligso finished the season as Creighton's leader with an average of .314. The Omaha native saw action in 42 games, starting 35 behind the dish. Hogan closed 2023 with two home runs, 19 RBI, nine doubles, 37 hits and 24 runs scored.
The Bluejays' 2023 season came to a close at 25-24. The full postseason award list is below.
