
Men's Basketball Media Guide Honored By College Sports Communicators

The 2022-23 awards give the Creighton SID 28 awards and honors in the last 16 years for its excellence in publications, writing and overall service to the media, including at least one recognition each of the past eight years.
2022-23 College Sports Communicators Publications Contest Results
OMAHA, Neb. --Â Three members of the Creighton Sports Information Office were honored by College Sports Communicators during the organization's annual Creative & Digital Design Contest. Sports Information Director Rob Anderson, Associate SID Glen Sisk and Assistant SID Patrick Davis were all recognized, as Creighton's 2022-23 Men's Basketball Media Guide was voted fourth-best in the University Division of the Winter Sports Media Guides category.
This is the third straight year a publication related to Creighton Men's Basketball has received acclaim. The 2021-22 postseason media guide was awarded "Best Cover", while the men's basketball game notes earned "Second in Nation" plaudits. Additionally, the 2020-21 Creighton men's basketball guide cover was recognized as best in the nation.
There were 20 Division I colleges, universities and conference offices that were honored overall in the publications portion of the Creative & Digital Design Contest, but Creighton was the lone BIG EAST school to be honored in any category. Kansas State picked up eight publication-related awards, while Georgia and West Virginia authored four publications to receive an accolade.
West Virginia's men's basketball media guide took the top spot in the Winter Sports Media Guide category of the University Division, just ahead of WVU's media guide for women's gymnastics. Kansas State's men's basketball guide was tabbed third-best. The best cover in the category went to UCLA's men's basketball media guide.
