Omaha, Neb. -- Playing their second nationally televised game of the early season, Creighton Women's Basketball faces Tulsa on Sunday, December 1 on ESPN2.

Senior Lauren Jensen continued her torrid start to the 2024-25 season by claiming the MVP nod as the Bluejays went 2-0 in the Beach Bracket of the Emerald Coast Classic. Jensen averaged 17.0 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4.5 rpg and shot 54.5% from the field including 6-for-11 (54.5 %) from long range.
Maly Joins Jensen on All-Tournament Team
Morgan Maly joined teammate Jensen on the ECC All-Tournament Team, leading Creighton with 21.5 ppg during the Bluejays' two victories. Maly went 17-for-26 (65.4%) from the field, including 8-for-11 (72.7%) from beyond the arc. Maly led the Bluejays in scoring in both games, including a 28-point performance in Creighton's 86-59 win over Syracuse that saw Maly shoot a perfect 6-for-6 from three-point land.
Lauren Jensen Named USBWA National Team of the Week and BIG EAST Player of the Week
For the week of Monday, November 18 through Sunday, Nov. 24, the five Ann Meyers Drysdale national women's honorees of the week are Creighton guard Lauren Jensen, Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo, Northern Iowa guard Maya McDermott, Virginia Tech forward Rose Micheaux, and Connecticut guard Sarah Strong.
This marks the first National Player of the Week honor in Creighton women's basketball history.
Jensen, helped the Bluejays (2-2), a preseason pick for second in the BIG EAST, upset then-No. 21 Nebraska (5-1) at home in Omaha, scoring 31 points – her second 30-point game of the season. On Monday she was named BIG EAST Player of the Week.
Lauren scored 19 of her 31 in the second half, including six straight from the free throw line to secure the win in the final 90 seconds. Playing all 40 minutes, the Minnesota native was 10-for-19 from the field, hitting 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. She also dished out three assists and tied a career-high with two blocks. Lauren leads Creighton with 95 points over four games (23.8 ppg), topping 30 points in each of the Bluejays two home contests.
Speaking of the Syracuse Start
In Creighton's 86-59 win over Syracuse to claim the Emerald Coast Classic Beach Bracket Championship, the Bluejays started the game 15-of-18 from long range. Creighton was 12-for-15 in the first half and hit the first three treys in the second half.
Familiar Face on Tulsa Sideline
Former Bluejay McKayla Miller will be facing her former teammates on Sunday. Now a Golden Hurricane, Miller has played in each of Tulsa's first six games, scoring five points in 45 minutes. Last season Miller playing in 20 games as a true freshman for Creighton in 2023-24. She closed the season with 45 points and 20 rebounds).
Jensen and Maly Star in 20-20 For Second Time This Season
For the second time this season the duo of Lauren Jensen and Morgan Maly each scored 20 points in a Bluejay game. Maly led the way with 28 points, while Jensen had 21 points in Creighton's 86-59 win over Syracuse in Florida. The duo swapped places with Jensen scoring 32 points and Maly delivering 20 points in the Bluejays' 80-72 win over Drake on November 11.
Five Bluejays Reach Double Figures in Win Over Wichita State
The quintet of Maly (15), Molly Mogensen (15), Lauren Jensen (13), Kiani Lockett (10) and Brooke Littrell (10) reached double figures in Creighton's 91-63 win over Wichita State on November 26. The last time the Bluejays had five in double figures came in a win over Xavier on February 27, 2024.
