Clifford, Hess and Sailors Earn All-BIG EAST Second Team

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball senior Nolan Clifford and juniors Kyle Hess as well as Nolan Sailors were named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team on Tuesday, May 21.
Clifford closed the season with a .348 average, despite missing 11 games with an arm injury. The Bluejay shortstop committed just four errors in 41 games, delivering 37 RBI and 13 combined extra-base hits.
Hess led Creighton in BIG EAST play with a .350 average. Throughout the season he hit .302 in 41 games, delivering a team best four triples and 15 RBI.
Sailors led the Bluejays with a .355 average during the season and hit .309 in league play. Nolan led the Bluejays with 71 hits, 18 stolen bases and 55 RBI. He also had the second most home runs with seven, smacked 14 doubles and three triples.
