Men's and Women's Soccer Claim Team Academic Award

Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton men's and women's soccer squads were each recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom, earning Team Academic Awards from the United Soccer Coaches Association for the 2023-24 academic year.

A total of 411 soccer teams (171 men, 240 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year. A total of 105 schools, including Creighton, had both their men's and women's programs recognized. United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.

The Bluejay men's team accumulated a 3.28 GPA during the 2023-24 academic year. This year marks the program's 11th straight recognition, and 16th honor in the last 17 seasons. CU has been honored 18 times overall.

During the 2023-24 academic year the Bluejays' women's team posted a 3.48 team GPA. This year marks the program's 14th honor in the last 15 seasons. CU has been honored 25 times overall.
