
Volleyball Adds Three Nebraska Public Media Telecasts; BIG EAST Announces Championship Sites

Creighton Volleyball will now have at least seven matches televised
OMAHA, Neb. -- Nebraska Public Media will broadcast three Creighton Volleyball matches this fall, and the BIG EAST announced the dates and sites of the Olympic sports championships for the 2024-25 academic year. All 22 BIG EAST Championships, including the Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments, are Presented by JEEP.
For the third straight season Nebraska Public Media will air three Bluejay volleyball contests. The statewide network will show CU's Oct. 18 contest vs. Xavier, in addition to battles on Nov. 1 (St. John's) and Nov. 3 (Villanova). CU is a perfect 8-0 on Nebraska Public Media since September of 2019. It was previously announced last week that Creighton Volleyball will have three matches televised by FS1 or FS2 (Sept. 5 vs. USC; Oct. 1 vs. Marquette and Nov. 10 at Marquette), while BTN will air CU's contest at Nebraska on Sept. 10.
When it comes to the BIG EAST, postseason coverage begins on FS1 on Nov. 10, with the women's soccer title game scheduled for 11 a.m. The format of the BIG EAST women's soccer championship will have the No. 3 seed hosting the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosting the No. 5 seed in the first round on Sunday, Nov. 3. The semifinals and championship game will return to the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md., for the third straight year. The semifinals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The BIG EAST men's soccer championship field remains eight teams for the second consecutive season. Quarterfinal action will get underway on Saturday, Nov. 11, with the top four seeds hosting matches. The semifinals will return to the Maryland SoccerPlex on Thursday, Nov. 14. The championship game will air on FS2 at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17.
The first round and semifinals of both the men's and women's soccer championships will stream on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports (BEDN). Overall, approximately 75 BIG EAST events will stream on BEDN among nearly 300 events on FloSports through the fall.
The volleyball championship will be played at D.J. Sokol Arena, hosted by Creighton. Six teams will compete for a BIG EAST title, with the top-two seeds earning a first-round bye. First round action will begin Wednesday, Nov. 27 with the No. 3 seed and No. 6 seed squaring off, along with the No. 4 seed taking on the No. 5 seed. The pair of winners will advance to the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 29 and the opening four matchups will stream live on BEDN. The championship game will then air on FS2 on Saturday, Nov. 30. A start time will be announced at a later date.

The BIG EAST Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Georgetown at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va., on Nov. 1. The men's and women's races will stream on BEDN.

For the winter, the Indoor Track & Field Championships will return to the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center in Chicago and be hosted by DePaul for the fourth consecutive year on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1. That championship will stream on BEDN

The spring postseason events kick off with the men's and women's tennis championships starting Thursday, April 17 and finishing on Sunday, April 20 in Cayce, S.C., at the Cayce Tennis Center. It will be the ninth consecutive year at Cayce. The women's golf championship will take place simultaneously, Saturday, April 19 through April 21 at Riverton Pointe Country Club in Hardeeville, S.C. The men's golf championship follows, going Saturday, April 26 through Monday, April 28 at Callawassie Island in Okatie, S.C.

The softball championship will take place on the campus of Villanova University at Villanova Stadium. The six-team championship will begin Wednesday May 7, with the title game scheduled for Saturday, May 10.

The outdoor track & field championships heads to Storrs, Conn., as UConn will host the conference meet Thursday, May 15 through Saturday, May 17.Â

Baseball returns to Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio for the seventh time, co-hosted by Xavier from Wednesday, May 21 through Saturday, May 24.
