TV schedule includes two home and two road contests
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball program will play at least four televised matches in 2024, it was announced on Tuesday. The broadcasts include two home matches and two road contests.
The Bluejays first scheduled telecast is its September 5 match against Big Ten newcomer USC that will begin at 6 p.m. Central and air on FS1 to open play in the Creighton Classic.
Five days later CU's 7 p.m. contest against Nebraska in Lincoln will be broadcast on BTN. It'll be the second straight season the network has picked up the intrastate battle.
Both of Creighton's regular-season meetings against Marquette will also be televised. The October 1 showdown in Omaha will air at 6 p.m. on FS1. The rematch in Milwaukee on November 10 will air on either FS1 or FS2, with a start time still to be determined. Creighton has won 10 straight BIG EAST regular-season titles, but the Golden Eagles have shared the regular-season crown with CU each of the past three years.
The television schedule for Nebraska Public Media has not yet been announced. Last year NPM broadcast three of Creighton's nine matches overall that were televised.
Last week Creighton announced that single-match tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Central on Friday, August 9th via Ticketmaster.com or https://am.ticketmaster.com/creighton/buy?id=MzY5, as well as at the Creighton Ticket Office at D.J. Sokol Arena inside the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center.
The Bluejays will hold their first day of practice on Thursday and host its annual Blue/White exhibition match just over a week later on August 16th. The regular-season begins on August 30th with the Bluejay Invitational, where CU hosts NC State at 6 pm in its season-opener.
