Jensen, Maly and Mogensen Recognized with BIG EAST Honors

Omaha, Neb. -- As No. 23 Creighton Women's Basketball prepares to travel to Connecticut for the BIG EAST Tournament, the trio of Lauren Jensen, Morgan Maly and Molly Mogensen were rewarded for an excellent 2024-25 season with post season honors, announced on Thursday, March 6. The duo of Jensen and Maly earned their third consecutive All-BIG EAST First Team honor, while Mogensen earned both All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention as well as the Co-Sportmanship Award.
A semifinalist for the Ann Meyers Shooting Guard of the Year award, Jensen enters the BIG EAST Tournament with 2,011 career points, including 1,988 over three seasons as a Bluejay. This season she leads Creighton with 517 points, is second on the team with 113 assists and has also grabbed 114 rebounds. A proficient markswoman, she has connected on 45.5% of her field goals (200-of-440), including 67 treys. Jensen was the Emerald Coast Classic MVP, collected one BIG EAST Player of the Week nod and four Honor Roll selections. Jensen has lead Creighton in scoring in 11 games in 2024-25, also leading the Bluejays in assists in 17 contests.
Maly heads to the BIG EAST Tournament with 507 this season to move within three points of third in Creighton history at 2,008 points. Morgan set the Bluejay record for made three pointers in her career, currently at 325 and climbing. A two-time BIG EAST Player of the Week this season, Maly is averaging 17.5 ppg and leads the team with 172 rebounds, 5.9 rpg. Morgan has led Creighton in scoring 14 games this season, also leading the Bluejays in rebounding in 13 games and in blocked shots 12 times.
Mogensen is earning her first BIG EAST postseason honors this season. She enters the BIG EAST Tournament with 277 points this season and a team-high 114 assists. Molly crossed the 1,000 career point threshold in late February, heading to Connecticut with 1,020 career points, 481 assists and 564 rebounds. She led the Bluejays in scoring in six games, while she has been the Bluejays' assist leader in 13 contests. Mogensen's contributions off the court earned her the Co-Sportsmanship honor. One of the connectors for Creighton, Molly is an integral contributor to the teams success by displaying a calm presence on the court as well as connecting with each teammate off the court. Mogensen spent extensive time performing community service as she worked Creighton's Abilities Basketball Camp, assisting with developmentally challenged youths, spent considerable time with the Boys and Girls Club and was a consistent contributor to Abide (local Omaha group for underprivileged youths in Omaha).
The No. 2 in the BIG EAST Tournament, Creighton faces either No. 7 Providence or No. 10 Georgetown on Saturday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. (CT)
