OMAHA, Neb. -- Nik Graves, a high-scoring guard from Charlotte, has signed to play his final season of college basketball with Creighton University in 2025-26.
Graves averaged 17.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game for the 49ers this past season, when he had 12 games of 20 or more points and twice scored 30 or more. He shot 77.3 percent at the free-throw line, where he ranked 15th nationally with 233 attempts.
Graves has shown steady improvement throughout his career, averaging 1.6 points per game for the 2022-23 College Basketball Invitational champion 49ers before scoring 10.4 points per game as a sophomore.
Originally from Durham, N.C., the 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard owns 925 career points, 245 rebounds and 193 assists in 85 career games. The two-year starter has also connected on 33.0 percent of his 273 career three-point attempts.
"We were very impressed with Nik's ability to create for himself and for his teammates," said head coach Greg McDermott. "His ability to attack in transition and create off the dribble is a perfect fit in our up-tempo offense. He also possesses the leadership qualities that are vital for the point guard position. We can't wait for Nik to be a Bluejay!"
Graves is the second player to sign with Creighton today, joining Iowa transfer Owen Freeman.
Creighton finished its 2024-25 season with a 25-11 record and are one of four teams nationally to win an NCAA Tournament game each of the past five seasons.
