Men's Basketball Ranked 24th in Year-End Coaches Poll

OMAHA, Neb. --Â The Creighton men's basketball team finished the 2024-25 season ranked 24th in the nation in the USA Today Coaches poll, which was released on Tuesday, April 8.
It was the seventh week this season that the Bluejays were recognized by the coaches, and first time since Feb. 24. CU was a season-best 13th in the coaches poll on both Nov. 11 and Nov. 18.
This year marks the 11th time that Creighton has been in the end-of-season USA Today Coaches poll Top 25, also being recognized in 1973-74 (17th), 1974-75 (16th), 2002-03 (23rd), 2011-12 (21st), 2012-13 (21st), 2013-14 (20th), 2019-20 (9th), 2020-21 (14th), 2022-23 (12th) and 2023-24 (10th). CU is one of nine programs nationally to be ranked in the year-end USA Today Coaches poll each of the past three seasons, a list that includes Alabama, Arizona, Creighton, Duke, Gonzaga, Houston, Purdue, Saint Mary's and Tennessee.
Creighton was one of two BIG EAST Conference schools in the Top 25, joining No. 10 St. John's. The top five teams consisted of Florida, Houston, Duke, Auburn and Tennessee.
Creighton was also one of seven schools in the country with both its men's and women's basketball teams ranked in the year-end Top 25 of the coaches polls in 2024-25, joining Alabama, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland, Ole Miss and Tennessee. The only schools to be in the year-end Top 25 of the coaches polls in both men's and women's basketball in both 2023-24 and 2024-25 are Creighton and Duke.
Creighton also joined Kentucky as the only schools with a Top 25 team in the year-end coaches poll in men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball in 2024-25.
Creighton finished the 2024-25 season with a 25-11 record, matching its most wins in a season since 2016-17. The Bluejays are one of four programs nationally to win an NCAA Tournament game each of the past five seasons.
