Sailors and Cancellieri Earn ABCA All-Region Honors

Omaha, Neb. -- Bluejay seniors Dominic Cancellieri and Nolan Sailors were recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with a spot on the Central All-Region Second Team.Â
The BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year, Cancellieri closed the season with a 2.29 ERA over 55.0 innings. Returning from injury this season, Cancellieri started 13 games, posting a 2-1 record with 59 strikeouts and just 23 walks.Â
Sailors led Creighton back to the NCAA Tournament with a team-high .389 average. Sailors started each of Creighton's 59 contests this season, delivering 18 doubles, six home runs, 27 stolen bases (27-of-30) and 44 RBI.
