OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton University Athletic Department received official written confirmation from the NCAA today that men's basketball guard Fedor Žugic has had his eligibility reinstated.
The Podgorica, Montenegro native will have two additional years of eligibility, beginning with the 2025-26 academic year that starts next month.
Žugic made his collegiate debut on December 21, 2024, after initially gaining clearance from the NCAA. He averaged 4.5 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from three-point land in 22 games off the Bluejay bench.
"We are pleased that Fedor will have the opportunity to continue his career at Creighton. He's an outstanding student, teammate and leader whose best days are ahead of him," said Creighton head coach Greg McDermott.
Creighton finished the 2024-25 season with a 25-11 record and placed second in the BIG EAST Conference. The Bluejays defeated No. 10 Louisville in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 4 Auburn. CU is one of four teams nationally to win an NCAA Tournament game each of the past five seasons.
