What Are Premier Club Sports?

At Creighton, you don't have to choose between academics and athletics. Eighty percent of our students are former high school athletes, and our club sports program offers a range of opportunities to stay in the game. Within club sports, our premier-level teams provide the highest level of competition for passionate athletes who want to take their high school careers to the next level. These teams foster camaraderie, leadership, and skills that extend well beyond the field, helping students succeed both at Creighton and after graduation.

Continue to grow in the sport you love. Creighton's premier level represent our most competitive club teams. You'll train with professional coaches, compete for national titles and play alongside other athletes at the top of their game in a structured and competitive environment. It also allows players to showcase their skills, improve their game, and challenge themselves against other talented players from different schools. These teams are the perfect way for former varsity high school athletes to keep pushing themselves and build connections while pursuing a prestigious Creighton degree. Become a Bluejay, and you can soar on and off the field!

Men's Premier Club Golf
The Men's Premier Club Golf team competes at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Team members have access to Omaha area golf courses, as well as state-of-the-art golf simulators. Professional, qualified coaches work with you to improve your game and help you develop into a successful collegiate golfer. Team members play 3 to 5 tournaments per semester and have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the National Collegiate Club Golf Association.

Women's Premier Club Golf
The Women's Premier Club Golf team competes at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Team members have access to Omaha-area golf courses, as well as state-of-the-art golf simulators. Professional, qualified coaches work with you to improve your game and help you develop into a successful collegiate golfer. Team members play 3 to 5 tournaments per semester and have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the National Collegiate Club Golf Association.

Men's Premier Club Hockey
The Men's Premier Club Hockey team will compete at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 12 or more regular season games and will have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

Men's Premier Club Lacrosse
The Men's Premier Club Lacrosse team will compete in a structured environment and at a highly competitive level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 16 or more regular season games and will have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA).

Women's Premier Club Lacrosse
Women's Premier Club Lacrosse offers a unique opportunity for student-athletes to compete at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 14-16 regular season games in the Spring semester and will have the opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (WCLA).

Women's Premier Club Softball
The Women's Premier Club Softball is one of our newest additions for the 2026-2027 year! Our team will play in a full-fledged season, traveling nationally for competitions while hosting home games at the newly completed Creighton Softball Stadium. The team will compete in an estimated 16-20 games over both the Fall and the Spring semesters.

Women's Premier Club Volleyball
The Women's Premier Club Volleyball is our second newest addition this year! The previous student-led club sports team has made the jump to Premier, bringing with them years of experience while looking forward to new coaching guidance and additional resources. This continues the tradition of club volleyball at Creighton and will see the team compete in multiple tournaments in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
