What Are Premier Club Sports?

At Creighton, you don't have to choose between academics and athletics. Eighty percent of our students are former high school athletes, and our club sports program offers a range of opportunities to stay in the game. Within club sports, our premier-level teams provide the highest level of competition for passionate athletes who want to take their high school careers to the next level. These teams foster camaraderie, leadership, and skills that extend well beyond the field, helping students succeed both at Creighton and after graduation.

You'll train with professional coaches, compete for national titles and play alongside other athletes at the top of their game in a structured and competitive environment. It also allows players to showcase their skills, improve their game, and challenge themselves against other talented players from different schools. These teams are the perfect way for former varsity high school athletes to keep pushing themselves and build connections while pursuing a prestigious Creighton degree. Men's Premier Club Golf
Creighton's premier club golf team competes at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Team members have access to Omaha area golf courses, as well as state-of-the-art golf simulators. Professional, qualified coaches work with you to improve your game and help you develop into a successful collegiate golfer. Team members play 3 to 5 tournaments per semester and have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the National Collegiate Club Golf Association. The Creighton men's club premier golf coach is James Dorsey.

Women's Premier Club Golf
Creighton's premier club golf team competes at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Team members have access to Omaha-area golf courses, as well as state-of-the-art golf simulators. Professional, qualified coaches work with you to improve your game and help you develop into a successful collegiate golfer. Team members play 3 to 5 tournaments per semester and have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the National Collegiate Club Golf Association. The Creighton women's club premier golf coach is James Dorsey.

Men's Premier Club Hockey
Creighton's premier club ice hockey team will compete at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 12 or more regular season games and will have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The Creighton men's premier club hockey coach is Martin Sundberg.

Women's Premier Club Hockey
With limited female hockey opportunities across the United States, Creighton's premier club women's hockey team offers a unique opportunity for student-athletes. The premier women's club hockey team will compete at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 12 or more regular season games and will have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The Creighton women's premier club hockey coach is to be announced.

Men's Premier Club Lacrosse
Creighton's premier club lacrosse team will compete in a structured environment and at a highly competitive level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 16 or more regular season games and will have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). The Creighton men's premier club lacrosse team is led by coach Jake Massey.

Women's Premier Club Lacrosse
Women's premier club lacrosse offers a unique opportunity for student-athletes to compete at a high level against major universities across the Midwest. Teams will play 16 or more regular season games and will have an opportunity to qualify and compete for a national championship through the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (WCLA). The Creighton women's premier club lacrosse team is led by coach Andrew Martinez.
