LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Senior Katharine Marshall led the Creighton women's golf team to a 12th place finish at the Marilyn Smith Sunflower Invitational on Tuesday.

The duo also own the top two scoring averages on the team this fall, with Karmazin (76.44) owning a narrow edge over Marshall (78.33).
Sophomore Madison Murnan started with a 78 before back-to-back rounds of 81 and a 240 aggregate. Karsen Morrison fired loops of 84, 79 and 81 for a 244 total that put her in a tie for 61st place. Annie Dawson shot a 76 in the opening round, followed by an 80 and final round 89 to tie for 64th place.
Delaware's Rhianna Gooneratne (70-71-70=211) earned medalist honors by two shots over Kansas' Ebba Nordstedt (72-72-69=213). Tournament host Kansas (276-289-293=858) won the tournament by 23 shots over Delaware (294-289-298=881).
