Omaha, Neb. -- Making its final push before competing in the WCC Championships in mid-May, Creighton Rowing delivered an impressive win in the Varsity 8+ race against Kansas State on Thursday, April 30. The Bluejays and Wildcats faced off in a dual regatta on Thursday, with Creighton posting a win in the top race by better than 20 seconds.
"It was a great day on the water and a big win in the V8," said Bluejay head coach Dan Chipps. "We lost to K-State at the end of March, so to win today is an important step. In addition, this is the closest we have ever been to the Wildcats in the 2V8. Our team is peaking at the right time, now the job is to take this momentum with us to Sacramento."
The Bluejays next race takes Creighton to Sacramento, California on May 15-16 to compete in the WCC Championships.
