
Kuo and McKenzie Claim CSC Academic All-District Recognition

OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Men's Tennis senior Zachary Kuo and sophomore Rocky McKenzie have been named to the 2026 Academic All-District Men's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This third straight season that Kuo has landed on the Academic All-District team, while McKenzie is being named for the first time in his career.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Team, selected by CSC, recognized the nation's top student athletes for the combined performance on the courts and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognized tennis honorees in four divisions, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA. Student Athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late May.
Earning his third consecutive CSC Academic All-District honor, Kuo owns a 3.77 cumulative GPA and will graduate this week with a bachelor's degree in finance and technology. A three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree, Kuo helped guide the Bluejays to a 12-14 overall record, including a perfect 9-0 record at home in 2026.
An Omaha native, Kuo tied for the team-lead with 27 combined wins, finishing this season with a team-high 15 doubles wins, including 14 victories with doubles partner Mathis Dahler while also racking up 12 singles wins. Overall, Kuo finished his career with 109 career victories, tied for the 12th-most all-time in program history.
Wrapping up his second year with the Bluejays, McKenzie boasts a 3.97 GPA in general studies at Creighton. A three-time member of the Creighton honor roll, McKenzie has earned ITA Scholar-Athlete and BIG EAST All-Academic Team recognition as a freshman. On the court, Mckenzie wrapped up the 2026 season with 17 combined wins, including nine victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions. The Sioux Falls, S.D. native also combined for eight singles wins, including five at the No. 3 singles spot.

Academic Standing:
- Student-Athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
- Student-athletes must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduate or graduate students. Only the school at which an athlete competed in the current academic year can nominate that player.
- Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
- An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
- A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
- The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to a 3.50.
NEW: Athletic Eligibility
- M/W Tennis: Eligible nominees need to be in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.
