HARDEEVILLE, S.C. -- The Creighton men's golf team earned its third consecutive third place finish at the BIG EAST Championships, Presented by JEEP, after an 8-under round of 280 on Monday.
Senior Grant Feldman and junior Owen Price starred throughout the event and tied for fourth, as both men earned 2026 BIG EAST All-Tournament Team accolades by virtue of their top-five finish.
Barring an at-large bid to the NCAA Regionals, Feldman (71-69-70=210) wrapped up one of the top careers in school history on Monday as he posted his 11th consecutive round of par or better with a two-under 70. It was Feldman's fifth consecutive top-10 finish. Feldman rewrote CU's record books (which date to 2003-04) during his four years at Creighton. He set single-season records in scoring average (70.38) and rounds of par or better (23), while tying the mark for top-five finishes (6) and top-10 finishes (7). Feldman also finishes with CU's career records for scoring average (72.53), top-five finishes (11) and rounds of par or better (54 of 110). He also tied the program record with 15 career top 10 finishes.
Price (73-70-67=210) lowered his season scoring average to 72.42 with his first top 10 showing of the season. His final round 67 was Creighton's best score at a league tournament since Tom Gross shot a 67 in the second round of the 2007 Missouri Valley Conference Championships. Price lowered his career scoring average to 73.00 in the process, which trails only Feldman (72.53).
Sophomore Gavin Gerch (72-76-70=218), who tied for third in the event last year to earn All-Tournament Team acclaim, tied for 25th.
Sophomore Jacob Kutner fired scores of 74, 72 and 74 to tie for 34th in his BIG EAST Tournament debut with a 220 aggregate.
Rounding out the Bluejay line-up was junior Brock Kuhlman, who tied for 36th. He shot a team-low 69 in Sunday's first round, then closed with loops of 79 and 73 for a 221 total.
Creighton broke par in all three rounds with scores of 285, 287 and 280 for an 852 total. CU's 280 was its best round ever at a conference tournament, and its 852 total was 15 shots better than its previous low at a league tourney done last spring.
Xavier (283-285-275=843) posted a four-shot victory over Marquette (282-283-282=847), with Creighton (285-287-280=852) only nine shots off the pace in the 11-team standings.
Xavier freshman Cayse Morgan (68-70-64=202)Â shot a tournament-low 64 in the final round to win medalist honors by four shots over Villanova's Ryan Pamer (70-68-68=206). Marquette's Mischa Candinas (70-71-68=209) placed third, one shot ahead of Price and Feldman in the 57-person field.
Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club hosted the action and measured 7,083 yards on Sunday and 7.026 yards on Monday on its Par 72 layout. Saturday's scheduled opening round was rained out, necessitating 36 holes of play on Sunday.
Creighton returns to the course in the fall, and could return everybody except seniors Kolby Brown and Feldman.
