2022 (Junior at Creighton):
Peighton made a huge impact for the Bluejay defense during the 2022 season, being one of three women to start in each of the team’s 20 matches ... She helped the defense deliver six shutouts while combining for a team-high in minutes for a third straight season with 1,812 minutes played ... Steffen played the final 1,370 minutes of the season, finding the back of the net for the first time in her career against Connecticut (Sept. 22) ... She also recorded one assist, helping on the equalizer in Creighton’s 1-1 draw with Butler on Oct. 27.
2021 (Sophomore at Creighton):
Steffen started every match as a defender in her sophomore campaign, accumulating a team-high in minutes with 1,764 minutes of action ... Playing on the backline, Peighton was instrumental in the Bluejays ability to limit shots, which included a stretch of over 155 consecutive minutes without allowing a shot ... Steffen notched her first point as a Bluejay with an assist against Connecticut on Oct. 14.
2020 (Freshman at Creighton):
Peighton started each of the Bluejays’ 10 matches in the back line, logging the most minutes on the team at 913 ... An integral part of Creighton’s first appearance in the BIG EAST Tournament, Steffen helped Creighton post two shutouts and four one-goal efforts ... She also closed the season with a pair of shots.
High School & Club:
Steffen was a club soccer specialist who played for FC Wisconsin ... She was selected for the player development program from the Midwest Conference of the ECNL.
Personal:
The daughter of Richard and Amy Steffen, Peighton was born in Eugene, Oregon ... She has two siblings: Mason and Cade ... Both her father, Richard, and her brother, Mason, played basketball for the University of Minnesota-Duluth ... Peighton is majoring in exercise science and pre-health professions.
