Getting to Know Brendan Strenke
- Strenke made 10 appearances in 2025, tossing 9.1 innings.
- Recording a 2.89 ERA, Strenke threw 13 strikeouts with three earned runs, five hits and three home runs.
- He led the Bluejay pitchers in opposing batting average with .152.
- Brendan’s best appearance of the regular season was against Omaha on May 13, where he notched three strikeouts and no hits.
- His biggest performance came in the BIG EAST Tournament, holdingÂ
- Connecticut to one run in 1.2 frames of relief to help the Bluejays post a 7-4 win on May 24.

- Using his redshirt option, Brendan did not play in any games during the 2023 season.Â
- During his second season, Brendan played for the Reivers in 14 games, pitching 16.2 innings.Â

- Who was your favorite athlete growing up? Conor McGregor
- Where did you first fall in love with baseball, and who put the first glove in your hand? My dad put the first glove in my hand when I was young. I fell in love with the game as a kid learning to play baseball by my dad’s side. From little league to camps, he was always there learning with me.
- Who is the GOAT of baseball? Babe Ruth
- What’s your favorite restaurant in Omaha? The Old Mattress Factory
- If you didn’t play baseball, what other sport would you have played? Basketball
- What’s your earliest baseball memory that still sticks with you today? My dad and I going to Sports Authority to get our first gloves so we could play catch with each other.Â
- What’s a hobby or talent you have that people wouldn’t expect from a baseball player? My favorite thing to do outside of baseball is to goÂ
- hunting and play pool.
