• Won first game with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief against Notre Dame (3/1).
• Also made his longest outing in that Notre Dame game.
• Won his second game with 1.1 innings against Southern Illinois (3/28).
• Had a stellar ERA in non-conference games with a 1.45 mark in 13 appearances (18.2 IP).
2008 (Sophomore)
• Appeared in 10 games.
• Did not receive a decision in any game he appeared in, the second-most appearances on the team without a decision (Jack VanLeur).
• Did not allow a sacrifice, threw the most innings of any Bluejay to not allow a sacrifice (9.2).
• Did not allow a run on the road during the regular season.
• Threw a scoreless inning vs. Chicago State (3/16), starting a streak of 6.0 innings without allowing an earned run.
• Had his longest outing of the season at Kansas State (3/26), throwing 1.2 innings without allowing a run.
• Threw 1.1 scoreless innings in second game of season with Kansas State (4/15).
• Struck out four of the five batters he faced, and did not allow a hit in that appearance.
• The four strikeouts was a season-high.
• Threw an inning without allowing a hit vs. Southern Illinois (5/23), surrendering one run while walking two and striking out one.
Jefferson College (2007)
• In his lone season at the Hillsboro, Mo., school, he led the pitching staff and ranked 26th nationally with 86 strikeouts.
• Accumulated 78.0 innings on the mound during the season.
• Posted a better than 3-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio as he struck out 86 while walking only 25.
• Allowed 91 hits and 50 earned runs in 319 at-bats.
• Named to the Dean’s List during his first semester.
Parkway South High School (2003-06)
Was named the conference MVP as a senior for the Parkway South Patriots ... Also earned all-state and all-area honors as a senior, and was the team’s MVP ... Three-year letterwinner in baseball, earning all-conference recognition all three seasons ... Holds school records for strikeouts and best ERA in a season.
