2023-24: Redshirted at Creighton
• Redshirted for Creighton in 2023-24, as he was allowed to practice and travel with the Sweet 16 squad, but did not play in any regular-season games.
• Had six points, two rebounds and two assists in exhibition win vs. Wayne State (Nov. 3).
Summer 2023: Bahamas Tour
• Sterling averaged 3.0 points, 1.0 assists and 0.7 rebounds in three games in the Bahamas.
• Scored seven points and dished an assist vs. Club Obras.
Red Rock Academy
• Was a prep teammate of current Creighton classmate Shane Thomas at Red Rock Academy in Las Vegas, Nev.
• McDonalds All-American Game nominee.
• A three-star recruit per 247Sports, which ranked him as the third-best player in Nevada and 54th-best shooting guard nationally.
• Averaged 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds per game while being named Team MVP of a squad that ranked in the top 10 nationally per MaxPreps.
Durango High School
• Prior to Red Rock Academy, he attended Durango High School in Las Vegas for three years.
• Durango’s famous alums include BMX rider T.J. Lavin as well as NASCAR drivers Kurt and Kyle Busch.
