A starter for Creighton in all 34 contests, Sydney finished the season third on the Bluejays in scoring (462 points), third in rebounding (153), and second in assists with 97 ... Sydney delivered 19 points in just 23 minutes in Creighton’s 89-46 win over Marist on Nov. 15 ... In the Bluejays’ 66-60 overtime win against Eastern Washington, Lamberty finished with 13 points on 5-of-10 from the field ... Sydney returned from the holiday break with one of her best games of the season, scoring 15 points on 7-of-16 from the field against St. John’s on Dec. 29 ... Lamberty dished out seven assists in Creighton’s 77-49 win over Butler on Jan. 10 ... She delivered a critical eight second-half points and shut down Villanova’s Caroline Coyer to help the Bluejays best Villanova 53-48 on Jan. 29 ... Lamberty was an impact player for the Bluejays as a freshman, starting 25 contests ... Her efforts were rewarded following the season with a selection to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team ... She closed the 2014-15 campaign with 310 points (10.0 ppg) and spent a large portion of the year as the top freshman in the NCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio (90 assists to just 37 turnovers) ... In the Bluejays’ opening game at the Cal Classic (Nov. 28), Lamberty took charge with six assists and two steals to lead Creighton to a 63-52 win over Cincinnati ... Sydney moved into the starting lineup the following night against No. 14 California (Nov. 29) ... On the day she was named Creighton’s first BIG EAST Freshman of the Week (Dec. 8), Lamberty posted her first double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in Creighton’s 58-56 win at Northern Iowa ... Sydney collected her second straight BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor on Dec. 15, clinching the award with her performance against Drake in another Creighton win on Dec. 14 (17 points, five rebounds as well as five assists) ...
