Casey Matthews is in his fifth year as the video coordinator at Creighton.
Matthews is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team’s film and video needs, including opponent scouting reports and breakdown of game and practice film to create individual and team edits for the Creighton team and staff.
Matthews was part of the Creighton staff that won its first BIG EAST title in 2019-20, while CU’s 2020-21 team reached the program’s first Sweet 16 since 1974.
Before arriving at Creighton, he spent three seasons as North Dakota State’s director of basketball operations.
Matthews came to NDSU following a two-year stint as the video coordinator for Southern Miss men’s basketball. As video coordinator, he was responsible for all aspects of video operations, including film exchange, video breakdown of games and practices, and assisting the coaching staff with opponent and self-scouting, among other duties.
Matthews also served as the head men’s basketball manager at UNC-Wilmington from 2011-13. He has extensive experience working basketball camps at the Division I level.
He graduated from UNC-Wilmington in 2013 with a degree in sport leadership.
Matthews and his wife April have two daughters, Finley and Eden.
