Mike Nesbitt joins the Bluejay staff as an assistant coach after serving in a similar role the past two seasons at High Point. Nesbitt was Alan Huss’ first hire at High Point in 2023. Huss left his role as head coach at High Point to return to Creighton in April as Associate Head Coach and Coach in Waiting.
Nesbitt has previously served as head coach at Panola College, where he helped the Ponies to a school-record 28 victories in 2022-23 and earned Region XIV East Coach of the Year honors. Nesbitt’s prior experience also includes two years at Bradley, one season at New Mexico Junior College and one year each at Panola College, Southern Utah and the University of New Mexico.
Nesbitt grew up in Evansville, Ind., and played three seasons at Missouri A&T before transferring to New Mexico for his final year of eligibility.
