I knew I wanted to be a Bluejay when… I first attended camp and got to witness the team culture and spend time with the coaching staff.Â

Competition Superstition: I always tie my spikes twice before a race.Â
Favorite Workout Spot: Burrow Creek Trail, Lawrence Kansas.Â
If I could run/throw with any three people, living or dead, it would be: I would run with Grant Fisher, Geordie Beamish and Nikki Hiltz.Â
When I am not running/training, I am: When I'm not training, I am usually doing something outside such as camping, hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking, swimming, or snowboarding. However, if my coach tells me to rest a bit, I'm usually reading a book, watching a movie or trying to learn how to play the guitar.Â
Favorite Movie: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty because it makes me want to go exploring.Â
Favorite Food: Raspberries!

In high school, Jonah Frye was a four-year varsity track and cross-country athlete. During cross country, he earned 4x All City XC Team Honors, 3x All Sunflower League Honors, 4x Regional honors and was a 2023 USA Today Northeast Kansas Boys XC Runner of the Year Nominee. During track, Jonah was a school record holder in the 2000m steeplechase, 3x AAU All-American, 4x Nike Outdoor Nationals Qualifier and 2024 New Balance Outdoor Nationals Qualifier.Â
