     John McKew enters his ninth year as an administrative specialist at Creighton in 2024-25. He assists in the overall, internal day-to-day operations of the program. In addition, McKew also assists with on-campus recruiting, event scheduling, NIKE and oversight of CU’s student managers among other areas.
   McKew was part of the Creighton staff that won its first BIG EAST title in 2019-20, and also has been part of the team’s trips to the Sweet 16 (2020-21, 2022-23 and 2023-24) and Elite Eight (2022-23). He began working with the team in 2011, when he started a five-year stint as a student manager for the Bluejays.
   A native of Portland, Maine, McKew graduated in 2016 with a degree from Creighton in lifestyle management.
   He and his wife Maggie (Baumert), a former CU volleyball player, reside in Omaha, with their daughter Ruthie.
