  After a long professional career as a player, Justin Carter begins his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Creighton this winter.
  The Gaithersburg Md., native played at Creighton from 2008-10, starting in 65-of-66 appearances and contributing 584 points, 392 rebounds and 124 assists for a pair of postseason teams.
  Carter spent a dozen years as a pro, playing in Turkey, Venezuela, China, Israel, Russia, Kazakhstan, Italy, France, Croatia and Romania.
  He and his wife, Laura, live in Omaha with their kids Justin Jr. , Isaiah, Ava, Caden and Juliette.
