Mich Kavanagh enters his ninth season in 2026 with the Bluejays and his fourth as a full-time assistant. His responsibilities consist of data analysis, team video, team training lesson plans, and ITPs, with a specification as the Recruiting Coordinator.Â
Kavanagh was critical to helping Creighton reach the sixth College Cup in program history in 2022. Mitch was a part of the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year in 2018 as the Bluejays claimed their first BIG EAST regular-season title since 2014.

"Since transitioning from volunteer assistant to technical director/assistant coach two years ago, Kavanagh has made a significant impact on our program through his tireless work ethic, attention to detail, dedication to student-athlete development, and commitment to the operational excellence of our day-to-day environment," said Torres. "His leadership and positive attitude behind the scenes have been instrumental in helping our group thrive on the field, in the classroom, and in our community. His contributions to our program have not gone unnoticed!"
"Creighton Men's Soccer is a special program, and I'm excited to continue supporting our players and staff as we pursue success on and off the field," said Kavanagh. "I look forward to building on Creighton's rich history and ensuring our standards of excellence are pursued every day."
Before coming to Creighton, Kavanagh spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Bellevue University. He also played for the Bruins in 2012 and 2013. Kavanagh earned First Team All-Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in 2012 and appeared in 31 games during his career as a defender, scoring one goal and adding two assists.
