
Bluejays Trump Aces, 76-74, for First MVC Road Win

Creighton trailed by as many as 13 in the first half, but battled back to get within a point on a few occasions before heading into halftime down 40-37.
Schuett paced the Bluejays with 20 points, making 7-of-13 shots, including 7-of-9 after halftime. She drained her first three three-point attempts and finished 4-for-7 from three-point range. Neuvirth scored a team-high eight points in the first half and balanced that with eight more after the break. Neuvirth's four steals tied Ally Thrall for team-high honors as the Jays tied a season-high with 12 steals against the Aces.
CU also drained a season-best 10 three-point attempts, making 43.5 percent from long range. The dagger was Michelle Kaus' four trey of the game inside of one minute to play, which put the Jays up six. CU held off a late UE charge for their first MVC road win in 11 games, snapping a 10 game road losing streak in conference play.
Kaus finished with 12 points, making 4-of-9 trifectas. Kristina Voss led the Jays with eight rebounds, while adding nine points and a career-best five assists.
