A 15-3 run by MSU brought it back within three before CU closed the first half on an 8-2 burst to take a 34-25 lead into the break.
The Bluejays scored the first four points after halftime to go up 13, but over the next 10 minutes the Lady Bears slowly cut into the Bluejays lead, getting within four on two occasions. Following two Tahnee Balerio free-throws at 8:10 which made the score 46-42 in favor of the Jays, CU responded with a Thrall three-pointer on its next trip down to go back up seven and MSU would never get closer.
The Bluejays forced 23 Lady Bear turnovers and scored 17 points from the miscues. CU also swiped a season-high 15 steals, paced by Neuvirth and Thrall's four apiece. CU itself committed 20 turnovers, resulting directly to 15 MSU points, while Balerio led all players with six steals.

Thrall drained a pair of treys and tied for team-high honors with three assists. Sara Cain also reached double figures with 12 points. Sophomore Tyrai Bronson snapped an 0-for-19 skid from three-point range and made 2-of-5 shots from beyond the arc for six points.

Tipoff is set for 4:05 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium to allow time between a CU men's game at Qwest Center OMAHA with Indiana State which tips at 1:05 p.m.
