Junior Seth Sinovic netted his first goal of the season to get the scoring started early. His header in the seventh minute off of Tim Walters' corner kick set the tone for an offensive first half by the Bluejays.
Gjoesund finished the Bluejay scoring with his second goal of the season in the 29th minute. His score came on a side-valley off of a set play pass from Sinovic at 28:25. The shot was Creighton's third in the opening half, as the Bluejays converting on each of their opening-half shot attempts.
After taking the commanding lead in the opening 30 minutes, the Bluejays played defensive soccer for the remainder of the match, keeping the Tigers (5-2-3) off the board until the 80th minute.
