Men's Hoops Hooks Pronghorns, 88-49

CALGARY, Alberta ? The Creighton men's basketball team won its third game in 27 hours Sunday, using a balanced scoring effort to defeat The University of Lethbridge, 88-49, in Calgary.

Creighton never trailed against Lethbridge, which lost 97-31 one day earlier against Weber State. CU bolted to a 25-16 lead after one quarter before taking a 53-26 advantage into the half.

The Bluejays started five players who have never suited up for a regular-season game. All 14 players in uniform played eight minutes or more and scored two points or more as Creighton's bench outscored Lethbridge by a convincing 67-23 margin,

Aaron Brandt and Kenny Lawson Jr. shared team-best scoring honors with 12 points, with Lawson adding 10 rebounds for the double-double. Booker Woodfox added 11 points in the win. Junior walk-on Dustin Sitzmann, who owns just three career points in two seasons with the Jays, had seven points on a pair of baskets and two free throws.

Lethbridge was led by 13 points from both Quinn Van Gaalen and Richard Steed. The Pronghorns were done in by 31 turnovers as the Jays hauled in 18 steals.

Now 3-0 on the weekend, Creighton will play its fourth game in two days tonight at 9 pm (Central) against Saskatchewan. CU opened its trip with an 87-82 win over the Huskies.

Creighton is making their first trip to Canada since November of 2003. Below is CU's remaining game schedule in Calgary, with all times Central:
