Scouting Creighton
Creighton has beaten Bradley in its past two games to secure a 10th straight 20-win season and 12th straight campaign with 10 or more league wins. Both marks are league records.
The Jays are 21-9 overall and finished 10-8 in the MVC, which was good for fourth place.
The 2007-08 Creighton team boasts just one returning starter from last year's MVC Tournament champion squad that finished 22-11 and played in the NCAA's for the seventh time in nine years.
That starter is leading rebounder and second-leading scorer Dane Watts (11.5 ppg., 6.4 rpg.), who is expected to make his 117th consecutive start on Saturday. Watts also leads the team with 29 blocked shots.
Freshman guard P'Allen Stinnett averages a team-high 12.2 points per game, which jumped to 13.2 ppg. in MVC action.
The Jays boast two other difference-makers off the bench. Booker Woodfox is the third-leading scorer with 9.3 points per game and has scored in double-figures in 12 straight contests.
Cavel Witter averages 8.9 points per game and had a career-high and Qwest Center Omaha record with 42 points against Bradley last Saturday night.
Creighton's bench averages 37.6 points per contest (second-most nationally) and has outscored the starting five by 89 points this year.
The Bluejays were 15-2 at home this season, including non-conference wins over DePaul, Nebraska and Saint Joseph's. CU averaged 15,768 fans per home game, which ranks 15th nationally.
As a team, Creighton averages 72.2 points per game while allowing 64.9. The Jays also own a +1.8 advantage on the glass. CU shoots 45.2 percent from the floor, 37.2 percent on three-pointers and 71.8 percent at the line.
Scouting #20 Drake
The nation's 20th-ranked team, Drake has tied a school-record for wins in a season and are 26-4 on the year. The Bulldogs are making their first appearance in the MVC Tournament semifinals since 1993.
At the start of October few could have predicted this much success for a Bulldog team picked ninth in the Valley's preseason poll. Perhaps maybe more unlikely has been the rise of senior guard Adam Emmenecker, who entered the season with 57 career points and ended the season as the MVC Player of the Year. Emmenecker averages 7.9 points and 6.1 assists per game while also grabbing 4.6 rebounds per game.
Emmenecker's backcourt mate, sophomore Josh Young, leads the Bulldogs with 16.1 points per game and a team-best 80 three-pointers. Both Emmenecker and Young were first-team all-Valley picks.
The Bulldogs also own two second-team all-Valley honorees. Leonard Houston averages 14.2 points per game and Jonathan Cox averages 11.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
The Bulldogs shoot 44.6 percent as a team, 36.9 percent from three-point range and 75.4 percent at the line. DU averages 72.9 points per contest and allows 61.1 per game.
The Coaches
The dean of Missouri Valley Conference coaches, Creighton's Dana Altman (Eastern New Mexico, 1980) is in his 14th year as head coach of the Bluejays. He owns a 281-150 (.652) mark at CU and a career record of 364-217 (.627) in 19 years as a NCAA Division I head coach.
Creighton's all-time winningest coach, Altman has been named national, conference, regional or district coach of the year in 10 of his 22 previous years as a head coach. The 2001 and 2002 MVC Coach of the Year was a finalist for the Naismith National Coach of the Year Award in 2003. In 2004, Altman was named the Collegeinsider.com Jim Phelan National Mid-Season Coach of the Year. In March, 2007, Altman was named a coach on the MVC's All-Centennial Team.
Additionally, Altman has led Creighton to seven NCAA Tournaments and his teams have played in the postseason in 10 straight seasons. He is assisted by Brian Fish, Darian DeVries and Mike Maker. Nick Earnest is the team's film coordinator.
Drake is coached by Keno Davis, who owns a 26-4 mark in his first year as a head coach. The 2008 MVC Coach of the Year, Keno Davis took over from his father, Dr. Tom Davis, last March. He is assisted by Chris Davis, Rodell Davis, and Justin Ohl.
Series History
Creighton owns an 86-54 lead in the all-time series with Drake, including a 3-1 record in neutral-site games as well as a 3-1 record in MVC Tournament battles.
The Bulldogs won a 68-60 overtime game in Omaha on Jan. 22 before scoring the final 10 points in a 75-65 win over the Jays in Des Moines eight days later.
Dana Altman is 19-9 all-time against Drake, but has never faced the Bulldogs on a neutral site or in MVC Tourney play. Altman is 0-2 against Keno Davis.
Last Game Recap
Creighton built an early 18-point lead, then watched as Bradley retook the lead in the final three minutes, before recovering to post a 74-70 win over BU in the quarterfinals of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore reserve Cavel Witter led Creighton with 15 points, including CU's final six points, to pace four Bluejays in double-figures. Bradley was led by 21 points from Theron Wilson.
Curse of the One Seed
Dana Altman is 5-0 against top-seeded teams in the MVC Tournament, lifting the Jays record to 6-1 overall against the top-seed. Creighton beat the top-seed in 1984, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007 but fell in 1988.
The MVC Tournament has not been won by the top seed since 1998. Additionally, the top seed has dropped its semifinal game in three of the past four seasons.
What If Scenarios
With a win on Saturday, Creighton would...
-Improve to 22-9 on the season, and avoid a season sweep to the hands of Drake for the first time since 1994-95.
-Improve to 11-4 all-time in MVC Tournament semifinal games.
-Improve to 4-1 all-time against #1 seeds in semifinal games and 7-1 all-time against the #1 seed at the Valley Tourney.
-Beat a ranked team in St. Louis for the second straight year (last year's team beat then-#11 SIU in the finals).
-Improve to 19-112 all-time against ranked teams, including a 1-3 mark this year.
-Improve to 8-14 against ranked teams under Dana Altman.
-Reach the MVC Tournament championship game for the seventh time in 10 years.
-Head coach Dana Altman would improve to 21-6 all-time in MVC Tournament play, extending his league-record for Valley Tourney wins.
-Improve to 36-16 at the MVC Tournament all-time, tops in wins and winning percentage (.692) in the event's history.
Cavel = Clutch
Sophomore Cavel Witter has come up big down the stretch of the Jays past two wins against Bradley.
Last week, Witter scored CU's final 10 points of double-overtime after CU trailed by five with two minutes left. He had previously scored the team's final five of the first overtime after CU trailed by five with 90 seconds to play.
Yesterday, Witter scored CU's final six points after Bradley had taken a one-point lead with 2:35 to go.
Witter, held scoreless in the first game with Bradley on Feb. 16, had 57 points in the past two games vs. BU.
Balanced Minutes
Despite being in a closer game than Drake on Friday afternoon, it was Creighton that spread around its minutes much more.
Creighton played its bench a collective 95 minutes in a four-point win, and only two men on the squad played more than 25 minutes.
Drake, on the other hand, played its bench a combined 50 minutes in a 22-point victory. Four starters played 30 minutes or more.
Brother vs. Brother
Saturday almost certainly figures to be the last college meeting between brothers Kaleb (Creighton) and Klayton (Drake) Korver.
Kaleb, a freshman at Creighton, would win bragging rights for life if he could help his team upend the nationally-ranked Bulldogs. Klayton is currently 2-0 in head-to-head match-ups against Kaleb.
Both Korver parents (Kevin and Laine) were in attendance on Friday, and figure to be once again on Saturday. Older brother Kyle Korver, who starred at Creighton and now plays for the NBA's Utah Jazz, has a game against Denver on Saturday night and will not be in St. Louis Saturday afternoon.
Additionally, Klayton Korver (DU) and Pierce Hibma (CU) were high school teammates at Pella (Iowa) High School, and remain best of friends to this day.
Laying Down The Law(son)
Redshirt freshman Kenny Lawson Jr. has had his best consecutive games this season over the past week, both against Bradley.
Lawson had 14 points on 7-of-7 shooting last Saturday night, then had nine points and eight rebounds to go with a pair of blocks in Friday's victory over the Braves.
Season Highs and Notable Numbers From Friday
Cavel Witter's eight assists tied a season-high and were tied for second-most by an individual in CU's illustrious Valley Tournament history.
Booker Woodfox's seven rebounds were a season-best. Creighton outscored Bradley 54-35 (+19) in the 25 minutes that he was on the floor.
Pierce Hibma's four points were his most since he had five on Jan. 12 at Wichita State, and more than his previous five games combined.
Dane Watts had five rebounds (all offensive) and now has 666 career rebounds. He is 11 shy from moving into the top-10 in school history.
Previously vs. Drake
Creighton lost two close games to Drake during the regular-season.
In Omaha on Jan. 22nd, Creighton led by two in the final minute but missed a free-throw, before Drake tied the game on a putback by Leonard Houston. Chad Millard missed an open three-pointer from the right corner as time expired that could have won it. Creighton never led in overtime.
Eight days later, Drake and Creighton played another slugfest in Des Moines. The teams were tied at 65-all with 2:30 to play before Drake reeled off the game's final 10 points.
MVC Tournament History
Creighton owns a 35-16 all-time record in MVC Tournament games. Creighton's 10 MVC Tournament titles are five more than any other school, its 35 wins are three more than any other school, and its .686 winning percentage in league tourney action is also tops.
History As A Fourth Seed
Creighton is 6-4 all-time as the fourth seed, but has never played Drake as the fourth seed.
The Jays are 2-0 in semifinal games as the fourth seed, beating top-seeded teams from Indiana State in 2000 and Illinois State in 1984.
Creighton's 2000 team is the only one in MVC history to win the league tournament as a fourth seed.
Six Out Of Nine Tourney Titles
Creighton owns six league tournament titles in the last nine years. On a national basis, the only schools that can claim this are Gonzaga (8), Duke (7), Winthrop (7) and Creighton (6).
Creighton's 10 Valley Tournament titles are twice as many as the next closest school, Southern Illinois (5).
Creighton is looking to become the fifth team ever to put together back-to-back MVC Tournament titles. Southern Illinois won three straight in 1993-94-95. Illinois State won two straight from 1997-98. Creighton also went back-to-back in 1999-2000 as well as 2002-03.
Top-Notch Coach
Creighton's Dana Altman ranks among the top coaches in MVC Tournament history. Altman's six titles and 20 wins are the most of any coach in league history, and his .769 winning percentage is third all-time among coaches with six or more games under their belt.

One Game At A Time
Creighton has won the MVC Tournament seven of the previous eight times it has won its first game in St. Louis. Each time they've lost their first-round game, they've been bounced from the single-elimination tournament.
Chance at History?
The only players in league history to play in three MVC Tournament finals victories are Creighton's Kyle Korver (2000, ?02, ?03), Tyler McKinney (2002, ?03, ?05) and Nate Funk (2003, ?05, ?07) and Southern Illinois' Marcus Timmons (1993, ?94, ?95), Chris Carr (1993, ?94, ?95) and Paul Lusk (1993, ?94, ?95).
Creighton seniors Pierce Hibma and Dane Watts have a chance to join that elite club, as they were played in the championship game for the Bluejay title teams in 2005 and 2007 as well.
Consistent Challengers
One of the most impressive facets of the Dana Altman tenure is how often his teams have been in the running for the MVC regular-season title. Eight of his last 10 teams (before this year's fourth-place finish) have finished either first or second in The Valley, and the two that didn't both won the MVC Tournament.
The Bluejays won the MVC in 2000-01 and tied for the title in 2001-02. CU was second in the MVC in 1997-98 and 2006-07, tied for second in the MVC in 1998-99, 2003-04 and 2005-06, and finished tied for third in 2004-05. The 1999-00 club was fourth in the MVC, but won the MVC Tournament.

Nine Losses OK Entering Tourney
Seven of the past eight MVC Tournament champions had 20 wins or less entering the event, and six of the last eight eventual champs had nine losses or more heading to St. Louis.
This year's Creighton team is the league's only school that can claim both traits this year.
It's also worth pointing out that the top-seed has not won Arch Madness since 1998.
Year Champ W-L Before Tourney Seed
2007 Creighton 19-10 2nd
2006 Southern Illinois 19-10 2nd
2005 Creighton 20-10 3rd
2004 Northern Iowa 18-9 2nd

Back-to-Back Days = Wins
One of the benefits to Dana Altman's frequent substitution patterns is that it keeps plenty of fresh legs on the bench. That strategy works best when Creighton enters tournament play requiring them to play on back-to-back days.
Since the start of the 1998-99 season, Creighton owns 15-0 record on the first day of events they have played back-to-back games in (including this year's Valley tourney). They are 13-1 in the second day of back-to-back games, and 6-2 when playing on a third-straight day. The Jays have won three games in three days at six of the last nine Missouri Valley Conference Tournaments. They have also won back-to-back games four different times in Guardians Classic action without a loss.
CU's only setbacks in these situations have been a 2001 MVC Tournament loss in the semifinal round to Indiana State, and setbacks in the finals of the Energia Systems Thanksgiving Tournament in November of 2000 and at Hawaii in the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic finals in December, 2006.
Creighton has not played on back-to-back days this season, while Drake is 2-1 in such scenarios.
20 Overall Wins x 10 Years = MVC History
Creighton is the only school in the 101-year history of the Missouri Valley Conference to post 10 straight 20-win campaigns. No other school owns more than six straight.
Creighton entered this season as one of nine teams nationally with 20 or more wins in each of last nine seasons. That list consists of Arizona, Creighton, Duke, Florida, Gonzaga, Kansas, Kent State, Kentucky and Syracuse.
Schools from the above list still seeking to continue that streak this year are shown below:
Team Current W-L Next Game
Syracuse 18-12 March 8 vs. Marquette
Kentucky 17-11 March 9 vs. Florida
10 Conference Wins x 12 Seasons
Last Saturday's win over Bradley extended Creighton's MVC record by winning 10 or more league games for a 12th consecutive season. Prior to Dana Altman's arrival, the Bluejays had 10 or more conference wins in only six different seasons all-time.
On a national basis, the only teams that will enter 2008-09 with at least 12 straight years of 10 or more league wins will be Stanford (14), Kansas (14) and Creighton (12).
Postseason x 10
Creighton has made either the NIT or NCAA in 10 consecutive seasons, tied for the longest streak of postseason bids in MVC history. It matches the 10 straight from 1966 to 1975 by Louisville.
The only 12 schools to make the postseason in each of the last 10 years are Arizona, Creighton, Duke, Florida, Gonzaga, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Syracuse.
Creighton, which also boasts a men's soccer team with 16 straight NCAA appearances, is the nation's only school with 10 straight postseason appearances in both men's basketball and men's soccer.
Game Tested
Senior Dane Watts has played in 127 games as a Bluejay, which puts him tied for fourth in Creighton history. Each of the men to play 128 games or more in their career (which Watts will reach on Saturday) were named MVC Tournament MVP as a senior. Below is a list of the all-time Creighton leaders in games played:
GP Name Years
135 Nate Funk 2002-07
128 Bob Harstad 1987-91
128 Kyle Korver 1999-03
127 Dane Watts 2004-Present
127 Joe Dabbert 2000-04
Witter Wonderland
Cavel Witter's career-high 42 points against Bradley on March 1 was noteworthy for numerous reasons.
Witter's 42 points were double his previous career-high of 21 points against Indiana State on Jan. 19, 2008.
Witter's 42 points were the most by any Missouri Valley Conference player since Indiana State's Nate Green scored 45 points against Eastern Illinois on Dec. 19,1999.
Witter's 42 points were the most by a sophomore in any game this year nationally.
According to ESPN.com, Witter became one of three players nationally to score 40 or more points off the bench this season.
Witter's 42 points were the most by a Creighton player since Benoit Benjamin had 45 vs. Indiana State on Jan. 19, 1985.
Witter's 42 points were the most by a Creighton player ever in the month of March.
Witter's 42 points were tied for eighth-most in Creighton history.
Witter's 42 points made him the first Creighton player with at least 40 points since Rodney Buford had 40 on Dec. 30, 1996 vs. Bradley.
Witter's 42 points was a Qwest Center Omaha record, four more than Nate Funk's 38 points on Nov. 26, 2005 vs. Dayton.
Witter's 42 points came just two weeks to the day after he was held scoreless in the first meeting against Bradley.
Thirty-Point Bluejays
Cavel Witter is one of five Creighton players in the Dana Altman era to score 30 points or more in a game, and one of two to score 40 or more under Altman (joining Rodney Buford). The other four players that did it were Nate Funk, Johnny Mathies, Kyle Korver and Buford.
The most points an Altman player has ever scored in a game was 62, which Kansas State's Askia Jones did in only 28 minutes against Fresno State on March 24, 1994, in an NIT quarterfinal. Jones hit an incredible 11 three-pointers in the second half of that game, and finished 14-of-18 from three-point range.
Below is the list of Creighton's 30-point games since Altman became head coach:
Pts. Name Opp. Date Result
42 Cavel Witter Bradley 03/01/08 W 111-110
40 Rodney Buford Bradley 12/30/98 W 65-44

Piling Up The Points, and Wins
Creighton's last two wins over Bradley have helped to continue five impressive streaks.
Creighton has won 36 straight home games when scoring 68 points or more since Feb. 5, 2005.
Creighton has won 41 straight games when scoring 72 points or more dating to Jan. 29, 2005.
The Bluejays have won 58 consecutive games when scoring 80 points or more, dating to Feb. 19, 2000.
Creighton has also won 44 straight games when scoring 90 points or more, dating to Jan. 11, 1988.
Creighton has won 15 straight when scoring 100 points or more, dating to Feb. 26, 1977.
Come A Little Bit Closer
Creighton has won its last seven games at the MVC Tournament decided by four points or less.
However, six of CU's last eight losses at the MVC Tournament have been by margins between five and eight points.
A Sign Of Things To Come?
Each of the last five seasons that Creighton has lost a game to Evansville, the Bluejays went on to reach the NCAA Tournament later that same year. Creighton fell at UE on Feb. 13 this year.
Creighton owns six all-time wins in Springfield, Mo., against Missouri State, including this year's one-point win. Each of those previous five Bluejay teams to win in Springfield went on to win the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and reach the NCAA Tournament that March.
Jays Among Attendance Leaders, Again
During the 2006-07 season, Creighton finished ranked 13th nationally in average attendance with 15,909 fans per game.
The Jays are doing well once again, currently ranking 15th nationally with 15,768 fans per home game.

Booker Woodfox has had 10 or more points in 12 straight games, all off the bench. He is CU's first player with 12 straight games of 10 points or more since Nate Funk ended his career with 24 straight games of double-digit scoring last season.
Last year, the Jays got 10 or more points from one player off the bench just three times all season...once each from Pierce Hibma, Isaac Miles and Nick Bahe.
Creighton owns 36 double-figure scoring games this season off the bench, compared to a total of 30 during the last three years combined.

Super sub Booker Woodfox has scored in double-figures in 12 straight games, the longest streak by any Bluejay player this season. That's helped to move the junior into third on the team with 9.3 points per game this season.
Woodfox matched his career-high with 20 points against Southern Illinois on Feb. 10, including 16 in the first half as CU built a 19-point halftime lead.
Woodfox is averaging 13.9 points per game in the last 12 games, hitting 49.2 percent from the field (60-122), 46.0 percent from three-point land (23-50) and 80 percent at the line (24-30) in that time.
Reserves Putting Up Some Points
Creighton owns three of the MVC's top five point-scorers among those players that have not started a game this season.
Booker Woodfox leads all such players with 278 points, with teammate Cavel Witter not far behind with 267 points.

Free Throw Defense Lacking
One common trend in three of Creighton's last six losses has been
poor defense at the free-throw line.
On Feb. 13, Evansville made 30-of-32 free-throws (93.8 percent), including 26 straight at one point. Shy Ely was 18-of-18 at the line, the nation's most attempts without a miss this season.
On Jan. 30, Drake went 15-of-16 (93.8 percent) against Creighton from the line. In that contest the Bulldogs made their first 15 shots at the stripe before missing their final try.
Drake also was near-perfect on Jan. 22, hitting 17-of-18 (94.4 percent) at the line against the Jays. The Bulldogs made their first 15 shots at the line before a miss, then made their final two.
Five teams have shot 90 percent or better at the line against Creighton this season (the three above, Xavier and Missouri State on Feb. 19). All but Missouri State would beat the Jays.
Creighton's opponents shoot 70.8 percent from the stripe when the Jays win, but raise that mark to 75.5 percent when beating the Jays. When Creighton wins, it shoots 73.5 percent at the line. When
Creighton loses, it shoots 64.3 percent at the line.
Eight Is Enough For Witter
Sophomore Cavel Witter dished a career-high eight assists in the road game at Evansville on Feb. 13, a figure he matched on Friday in the win over Bradley.
Witter has 41 assists in the past nine games, an average of 4.6 per game. Prior to this stretch, Witter had owned just one game with more than three assists in CU's first 21 contests.
3-Point Weapons
Creighton has nine different players that have made 10 or more three-pointers this season. Six of those men have made 38.5 percent or more of their attempts from long-range.
Creighton and Florida are the nation's only teams with seven different players to own 20 or more treys.
For the season, Creighton's 8.37 three-pointers per game ranks third in the MVC this year and third-highest in school history.
Creighton has made 10 or more three-pointers in seven of its last 15 games, and is 9-2 this year when making 10 or more three-pointers in a game.
When shooting 40 percent or better from three-point range, Creighton has won 14 straight, 30-of-31 and 40 of its last 43 games.
Shots Falling For Harriman
Redshirt freshman Casey Harriman has quietly been shooting the heck out of the ball. Harriman has hit 13-of-26 three-point shots in the past 16 games, good for 50 percent from downtown.
Harriman's marksmanship has increased his three-point accuracy rate to 43.4 percent on the season. He is shooting 45.5 percent from downtown in MVC play.
Watts Joins 1,000 Point Club
Creighton's Dane Watts scored 13 points on Jan. 22 against Drake, making him the 32nd player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Watts, who needed four points coming in, drained a three-pointer on CU's first possession and then surpassed the milestone with 11:57 to play in the first half on an elbow jumper.
Later in the game, Watts passed former teammate Anthony Tolliver and moved into 31st place on the CU scoring list. He now owns 1,124 career points, good for 24th in Bluejay history.
Watts has averaged 8.9 points in 127 career games, including 11.5 ppg. this year.

One of the Best Programs Around
Every five years since 1997, Basketball Times has evaluated the best of the best NCAA programs -- those that have won two-thirds of their games over the previous 10 season span. The 2007 edition of the report had 29 teams that met that qualification, including Creighton.
Those 29 schools were then ranked from 1-29 on categories like 10-year winning percentage, number of active NBA players, freshman graduation rate and US News & World Report's academic peer assessment score, as well as a subjective vote of 10 panelists who judged teams based on “program cleanliness” and “head coach ranking”.
Creighton finished an impressive seventh, trailing only Duke, North Carolina, Florida, Stanford, Gonzaga and Michigan State.

Army of Iowans
Every Creighton team since 1988-89 has had at least one Iowa native, and this season is no exception. Creighton has four players from Iowa on this season's team, continuing a long trend of relying on some of the Hawkeye State's top preps. CU's native Iowans this season include senior Pierce Hibma (Pella), junior Dustin Sitzmann (LeMars) and freshmen Casey Harriman (Ida Grove) and Kaleb Korver (Pella). Other past notable Iowans include Kyle Korver (Pella), Ryan Sears (Ankeny), Brody Deren (Harlan), Tyler McKinney (Urbandale), Nate Funk (Sioux City) and Michael Lindeman (Iowa Falls).
Creighton has played at least one Iowa native in 439 straight games. That streak dates to a Feb. 5, 1994 win against Wichita State.
Decade (+1) of Dominance
Creighton has reached 10 straight postseasons, and is in the process of trying to extend that streak to 11.
In that time (since 1997-98), the Bluejays have dominated the Missouri Valley Conference to the tune of at least a .640 winning percentage against every foe except Southern Illinois, as seen below:

Bahe, Bahe, Bahe
Senior guard Nick Bahe started his college career at the University of Kansas, so it's only fitting that his final game in the Sunflower State was a memorable effort.
Bahe scored 15 points, hitting 5-of-7 shots from the floor and 3-of-5 from downtown against Wichita State on Jan. 12. He also drained two free throws when Shocker head coach Gregg Marshall was whistled for a technical foul.
On Jan. 15, Bahe matched that with 15 more points in a road win at UNI. Bahe drained 5-of-9 shots, including two trifectas, as well as perfect 3-of-3 shooting at the line.
Bahe is shooting 41.67 percent from three-point range in his career (65-156), a figure that ranks sixth-best in CU history.

Creighton has started two freshmen in 12 of the last 14 games (11 times with P'Allen Stinnett and Kenny Lawson Jr., and once with Stinnett and Kenton Walker). It marks the first time CU has started two freshmen in the same game since Dec. 29, 2001, when both Jimmy Motz and Tyler McKinney started against Mississippi Valley State.
Getting Defensive
Creighton held Missouri State without a field goal for the final 10:07 of the first half, then without a basket for the first 2:15 of the second half. That 12:22 is the longest period without a field goal by any Bluejay opponent this season.
