
Baseball Falls in 12 Innings Against Huskers, 4-3

Creighton tied it up in the bottom of the inning when Robbie Knight doubled to center. Elliot Soto then singled to right and advance to second as the Huskers tried to throw out Knight on the play, but were unsuccessful, making the game 1-1.
The Huskers had runners on the corners in the top of the ninth with two outs, as pinch hitter Kale Kiser walked on a pitch in the dirt that allowed Nick Sullivan to advance to third. However that is as far as the rally would get, as Bob Lackovic got Jeff Texak to fly out to left.
Creighton had runners on first and second with one out in the 10th. Unfortunately for the Bluejays Knight popped up to shortstop and Soto lined to right, ending the threat.

The Jays had a chance in the bottom of the 12th when Knight sent a double to the right-center gap, plating Scott Thornburg and Zane Hinkel with two outs. That is as far as the team would get though, as Soto popped up to end the game, and have the season series tied at 1-1. The tiebreaker in the season series will come on May 12 at 7:00 p.m., when the two teams meet against at Rosenblatt Stadium.
Creighton will return to action on Friday night at Rosenblatt Stadium, as it takes on Bradley. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.
