OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton moved its winning streak to five with a 60-50 women's basketball win over Evansville at D.J. Sokol Arena Saturday. The win concluded a perfect 4-0 home stand for the Bluejays, as they were led by a trio of players in double figures, including Kelsey Woodard's game-high 16 points.
Evansville (7-15, 2-9 MVC) opened the game with a three-pointer from Stephanie Bamberger, for what proved to be the Purple Aces largest lead of the game. Back-to-back baskets from Woodard put the score at 7-7 nearly three minutes into the game, and the Bluejays would not trail for the remainder of the first half. CU's largest lead of the half was just four points however, before the Bluejays carried a 25-22 lead into the locker room.
