Creighton Unveils New Athletics Logo
10/9/2013 6:39:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Today was a historic day for Creighton Athletics! The University unveiled its redefined athletic brand to cheering fans, including students, Jaybackers, faculty, staff, alumni and friends.
Creighton's membership in the BIG EAST Conference has ushered in a new era in athletics and an unprecedented opportunity for the whole University. Our entry into the conference presents a great occasion to strengthen our athletic brand, complete with a new look and new suite of official athletic logo designs. Creighton is the only NCAA Division I program known officially as the Bluejays.
Be the first to purchase your new Bluejays gear at the University's FanAttic campus bookstore or on the bookstore's online site, and at Lawlor's and Jerry Ryan's stores in Omaha. For this special event, the campus bookstore will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight. Other Omaha retailers will eventually have merchandise available through licensing agreements.
The unveiling event was perfect, except that someone was missing. Billy Bluejay was nowhere to be seen. To find out where Billy is, watch the video at http://youtu.be/BgvjSZ75Q9A.
We look forward to the years ahead and our affiliation with high-academic, mission-oriented, basketball-centric schools. Thank you for your support of Creighton's student-athletes and athletic programs, and, Go Bluejays!
