
Baseball Faces Kansas State in Two Midweek Games

OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton Baseball team faces Kansas State in its first two midweek games of the season on Tuesday and Wednesday in Manhatten, Kansas.
Creighton vs. Kansas State Series
Kansas State leads the series with Creighton, 5-37-1, including two of three last year at TD Ameritrade.
The Wildcats have won three of the last four meetings, all coming at Creighton's home, over the past two seasons. This week will mark the first time since 2010 that the Wildcats and Bluejays have met in Manhattan

Scouting the Wildcats (2015: 7-7)
After opening the season with a 4-4 effort in tournaments in Florida and Arizona, Kansas State has seen both sides of a broom over the last two weekends. First the Wildcats were swept by California in Berkeley over the first weekend of March.
Last weekend Kansas State returned the favor to another team from the Golden State, Santa Clara, taking three straight from the Broncos in impressive fashion. Kansas State outscored Santa Clara 31-9 during the three game set, including scoring 27 runs in the final two games.
Offensively the Wildcats are hitting .271 as a team, led by four players over .300. The two big bats for Kansas State are Clayton Dalrymple (.353) and Danny Krause (.340).
On the bump the Wildcats have a team ERA of 3.67. The two starters the Bluejays will face, Kyle Halbohn (1.50) and Mark Biesma (18.00), have allowed a combined nine runs (seven earned) in nine innings.
