
Women's Golf Honored by WGCA For Nation's Fourth-Best GPA

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Creighton women's golf team has been recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association for having one of the best GPA's in the nation.
Creighton's team ranked fourth in the rankings with an average GPA of 3.778. The placing is a one spot improvement over last year's team was fifth nationally.
New Mexico took top honors with an average GPA of 3.799.
Earlier in July, Creighton's Grace Yowell, Kelsey Petersen, Sarah Eversman and Mary Cathryn Rau were among 758 collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association as All-American Scholars.
The Bluejays, who placed sixth at the BIG EAST Championships in April, are coached by Debbie Conry.
The WGCA also announced the top 25 teams with the highest Team GPA, which included three BIG EAST teams overall. They are as follows:

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 500 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
